The following message will go out tonight as an instant alert (phone call and email).
Sleep is a vital need, essential to a child’s health and growth. Sleep promotes alertness, memory, and performance. Children who get enough sleep are more likely to function better and are less prone to behavioral problems and moodiness. That is why it is important for parents to start early and help their children develop good sleep habits.
How much sleep should my child get?
Each child is different and has different sleeping. A 3 to 5-year-old child generally requires 11 to 13 hours of sleep, while a 5 to 12-year-old child requires 10 to 12 hours of sleep. Please look for bedtime ideas and helpful tips in your child’s Tuesday folder.
